(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — March 13, 2025) Shannon Wilson, vice president of population health and health equity at Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, has been named winner of the RISE 2025 Trailblazer Award.
The award honors an individual for outstanding innovation, leadership and dedication who is making a significant impact in driving transformative change in communities and the health care industry.
Wilson, who also serves as executive director of the Priority Health Total Health Foundation, was chosen for pioneering health equity leadership and transforming care with data-driven solutions. In addition, she was selected for advancing quality improvement across diverse populations, bridging the gap between health and race, and driving impact beyond industry.
Wilson is responsible for quality improvement for Priority Health’s Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and individual lines of business. She leads several initiatives aimed at improving the health care experience for vulnerable populations and is an active leader in the industry and community. She serves on several boards, including Meijer Gardens, Children’s Healing Center, Our Kitchen Table, and Net Health of West Michigan.
